Decorating Find of the Day: French Inspired Wall Hangers
I am so excited about my find today at T.J.Maxx! I needed to run in to find a sweater for my husband and I couldn't help but browse the home decorating section! Of course, I got myself lost in the colorful pillows, decorative chairs and countless knickknacks. My goal was to come out of the store with only the sweater in hand. Completely, lost all control when I found these his and hers wall hangers.
They are French inspired with the look of cast iron. I am planning on using them either in the bathroom for our towels or on our closet...

Gluten Free Banana Muffins
It happens every week. My husband and I are dedicated to an accelerated weight and cardio workout regimen so I try to always have bananas around the house to help ward off muscle cramps. I am always looking for recipes that include...

For a mid-summers day in July, the weather was balmy with minimum humidity. Exactly how summer should be in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I decided to take a trip out to the Cape Henry Lighthouse to see if it would be a potential location for engagement portraits. The lighthouse is one of many historical sites in Virginia.
The trip began with a small adventure. The Google search for the lighthouse gave me the address of 583 Atlantic Ave., Virginia Beach, VA. My GPS sent me to the opposite end of Virginia Beach near 6th Street. After 3 U-turns, I finally found...

How to Hang Wall Art
A few weeks back I was reading through the Sunday newspaper and saw a useful article on hanging art (How to Hang Art - The Right Way by Alexia Elejalde-Ruiz, Chicago Tribune). As a photographer I love to display my work for family and friends to see. However, when I get out the hammer and nails to start my project, I never quite know the best way to organize it on the wall. Here are the items you need to get started:
Painting/Photograph (framed, with hanging wire affixed to the back)
Hammer
Picture hooks and nails or threaded anchors with screws
Measuring tape...
